RUSSELL BRAND SAYS KANYE WEST’S HEIL HITLER IS UNCANCELLABLE

Actor and political commentator Russell Brand sparked controversy by defending Kanye West’s new song “Heil Hitler,” calling the artist “uncancellable” despite the backlash. In a post on X/Twitter, Brand wrote that West (now known as Ye) “reached such a zenith in the culture that he couldn’t be killed,” and suggested that Ye’s critics “would like it if he died.” The song features a provocative hook, “All my n—-s Nazis, n—a, heil Hitler,” along with a sample of an Adolf Hitler speech. Brand doubled down in a video, arguing that Kanye is engaging with cultural taboos and pushing the boundaries of artistic discourse.

On his podcast, Brand defended the track as part of art’s role to provoke and “tell the truth,” claiming Ye is a “true artist” willing to enter “difficult situations.” Brand has built his recent image around conspiratorial commentary and has attracted a far-right fanbase. He currently faces criminal charges in London for rape, sexual assault, and indecent assault but remains on bail.

When your best defense of Kanye is that fascist shock-rap is “art,” maybe there’s something else going on….
