REALITY SHOW: Homeland Security V IMMIGRANTS

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed it is open to unconventional television pitches, including a proposed reality series where immigrants compete for U.S. citizenship. The show, pitched by Duck Dynasty producer Rob Worsoff, would feature contestants arriving at Ellis Island by boat, greeted by a celebrity host—suggestions included Sofia Vergara or Ryan Reynolds—then traveling across America by train. Each episode would showcase regional challenges, such as mining for gold in San Francisco or assembling auto parts in Detroit, with one contestant eliminated weekly. The finale would crown a winner who receives U.S. citizenship in a Capitol Hill ceremony officiated by a judge or politician. While The Daily Mail reported that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem (dubbed “ICE Barbie”) supported the project, DHS officials denied the claim.

Only in Trump’s America does Ryan Reynolds get cast as Ellis Island’s Simon Cowell for desperate green card gladiators.
